We take data protection seriously

It is very important to us to protect your privacy when processing your personal data. When you visit our website, it is standard practice for our web server to store the IP of your Internet service provider, the website that you are visiting us from, the webpages on our site that you visit, and the date and duration of your visit. This information is essential for the technical transmission of the websites and the secure operation of the server. No personalised evaluation of this data takes place.

If you send us data via a contact form, this data will be stored on our servers in the course of data backup. We will use your data exclusively to process your request. Your data is handled with strict confidentiality. It is not passed on to third parties.

Personal data

Personal data is data that relates to you. This includes your name, your address and your e-mail address. You are not required to disclose any personal data to visit our website. In some cases, we require your name and address as well as further information to provide you with your requested service.

This also applies if we provide you with information upon request or if we respond to your queries. In such cases, we will always make you aware of this. In addition, we only store the data that you have submitted to us automatically or voluntarily.

If you use one of our services, we generally only collect the data that is necessary to provide you with our service. We may ask you for further information; however this is voluntary. Whenever we handle personal data, we do this to be able to offer you our services or pursue our commercial goals.

Automatically stored non-personal data

When you visit our webpages, we store certain information for administrative and technical reasons. These are: The type and version of the browser used, the date and time of access and the IP address. This data is anonymised and only used for statistical purposes or to improve our Internet and online services. This anonymised data is stored on secure systems – separately from personal data – and cannot be traced back to an individual. This means that your personal data remains protected at all times.

When you visit our webpages, we may store information on your computer in the form of cookies. Cookies are small files that are transmitted from an Internet server to your browser and stored on its hard disk. The legal basis for the use of cookies is outlined in art. 6 para. 1(f) of the GDPR. In this process, only the Internet Protocol address is stored – no other personal data. The information that is stored in the cookies makes it possible to automatically identify you the next time you visit our webpages, thus facilitating your use.

Of course, you can also visit our webpages without accepting cookies. If you do not wish for your computer to be identified on your next visit, you can reject the use of cookies by changing the settings in your browser to “block cookies”. You can find information on how to do this in your browser’s operating instructions. However, rejecting the use of cookies may lead to restrictions in the use of some sections of our webpages.

Google Tag Manager

This website uses Google Tag Manager. The Tag Manager does not record any personal data. The tool triggers other tags which may record data. Google Tag Manager cannot access this data. If a deactivation is performed at domain or cookie level, this remains in force for all tracking tags that are implemented with Google Tag Manager. You can find Google’s Privacy Policy about this tool here: https://www.google.de/tagmanager/use-policy.html

Criteo (customised advertising)

This website also uses the Criteo service provided by Criteo SA, Rue Blanche, 75009 Paris, France. With the help of this service, users who have already visited our website and been interested in our services on this website and on websites that also use the Criteo service are offered targeted advertising. This advertising is displayed based on information about the visit to each website which, among other things, is saved in the cookies on the user’s computer. These text files are selected for targeted product recommendations within the scope of subsequent website visits. For this purpose, a randomly generated identification number is stored in the cookies. Neither this number nor the information about your visits to the website can be traced back to you personally. Under no circumstances is this data used to personally identify you as a visitor to our website. You can prevent the storage and use of information through the Criteo service by clicking on the following link ( https://www.criteo.com/privacy) and sliding the “Opt-out” controller to “ON”. If you select “ON”, a new cookie (opt-out cookie) will be set on your browser. This cookie signals to the Criteo service that Criteo may no longer collect or process any data about your user behaviour. You have the option of reactivating this function by sliding the controller to “OFF”. Please note that you need to activate this setting for each browser you use. If all cookies in your browser are deleted, this also affects the opt-out cookie.

Google Analytics with anonymising function

On our website we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter “Google”. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”. i.e. text files that are stored on your computer, allowing for an analysis of your website use.

The information generated by these cookies, such as the time, location and frequency of your website visit, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google in the US and stored there.

We use Google Analytics on our website with the “_gat._anonymizeIp” addition. In this case, your IP address will first be truncated and anonymised by Google within the member states of the European Union or in other states that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our website in order to compile reports about the website activities on our behalf and to render other services connected to website and Internet use. In some cases, Google may also pass on this information to third parties, provided this is required by law or that third parties are processing this data on behalf of Google.

Google states that it will not under any circumstances link your IP address to other Google data. You can prevent cookies from being installed via the relevant setting in your browser software; we would however like to point out that you may be unable to use the full functionality of this website should you choose to do so.

Furthermore, Google provides a deactivation add-on for the most common browsers which gives you more control over which data about the websites you have visited is recorded by Google. The add-on informs the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js) that no information about the website visit is to be shared with Google Analytics. However, the Google Analytics deactivation add-on for browsers does not prevent information from being passed on to us or to other web analytics services that we may use. You can find further information about installing the browser add-on via the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

If you visit our website on a mobile device (smartphone or tablet), you must  click on this link in order to prevent tracking by Google Analytics on this website in the future. This is also possible as an alternative to the browser add-on mentioned above. By clicking on the link, an opt-out cookie will be set on your browser that is only valid for this browser and this domain. If you delete the cookies in this browser, you will also be deleting the opt-out cookie, meaning you will have to click the link again.

If you have agreed for your web and app browser history to be linked to your Google account by Google and for information from your Google account to be used to generate personalised advertisements, Google will use your data, together with Google Analytics data, to create target group lists for cross-device remarketing. Initially, Google Analytics will record your Google-authenticated ID that is linked to your Google account on our website (i.e. personal data). Your ID is then temporarily linked to your Google Analytics data by Google Analytics in order to optimise our target groups.

If you do not agree to this, you can change the relevant settings in the “My Account” section of your Google account.

Google Googleadservices/Google AdWords Conversion Tracking

This website uses tools for online marketing provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. This serves to identify that a visitor has entered our website by means of a Google advertisement. Google uses cookies that are stored on your computer, allowing for an analysis of the website use. Cookies for conversion tracking are applied when you click on an advertisement placed by Google. These cookies become invalid after 30 days and do not serve the purpose of personal identification. If you would like to prevent conversion tracking, you can use the settings in your browser to block cookies from the “googleadservices.com” domain. You can also exercise your right to opt out. . If you would like to learn more about these processes or find out what you can do to ensure that this information cannot be used by Google, click here: https://www.google.com/settings/u/0/ads/authenticated

To ensure the tailored design and optimum performance of this website, data which has been anonymised through solutions and technologies of econda GmbH (www.econda.de/en) will be collected and stored and user profiles compiled from this data using pseudonyms. Cookies that identify an Internet browser may be used for this purpose. However, user profiles will not be combined with the personal information of the bearer of the pseudonym without the visitor’s express consent. IP addresses in particular are made unreadable immediately upon entry, so that an allocation of user profiles to IP addresses is not possible. Visitors to this website can object to the collection and storage of data for the future at any time here: http://www.econda.de/econda/datenschutz/widerruf-datenspeicherung.html

Facebook Custom Audiences Pixels

In order to present visitors to our website with interest-based advertisements on Facebook during their visit, we use Custom Audiences Pixels provided by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). This means that we have installed a Facebook pixel on our website which generates a direct link to Facebook servers when our website is visited. This then transmits to the Facebook server that you have visited our website and Facebook assigns this information to your personal Facebook user account. You can find more information about the collection and use of data by Facebook and discover your rights and opportunities to protect your privacy in this regard in Facebook’s Privacy Policy at https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

You can object to this connection with Facebook by clicking on this link: Deactivate Facebook Custom Audiences!

Kupona (retargeting)

We use retargeting technology provided by Kupona GmbH, Frankfurter Straße 8, 36043 Fulda on these pages. To optimally provide advertising campaigns on the Internet, KUPONA gathers anonymised information and data about users’ surfing behaviour on our pages. During this process, cookies are stored on your computer. With the help of an algorithm-based analysis, this allows Kupona to display targeted product recommendations in the form of advertising banners on other websites too. The use of cookies in this process serves exclusively to optimise the service. There is no personal identification of the user. None of the data is passed on to third parties. However, if you would like to object to the use of anonymised cookie data and the according analysis of your surfing behaviour, you can do so here: http://datenschutz.kupona.de/?cus=%28HEIASID%29

Microsoft Bing Ads

We use conversion tracking provided by the Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA on our website. This means that a cookie is set on your computer by Microsoft Bing Ads if you visit our website through a Microsoft Bing advertisement. This way, we and Microsoft Bing can identify that somebody has clicked on an advertisement which led them to our website, reaching a pre-determined target page (conversion page). This lets us know the total number of users who have clicked on a Bing advertisement and were then led to a conversion page. No personal information about the identity of the user is shared.

If you do not wish for information about your behaviour to be used by Microsoft in the manner described above, you can reject the cookies required to do this – for instance, via the browser setting that deactivates all cookies from being applied automatically. Additionally, you can prevent the collection of data created by the cookie in relation to your use of the website as well as the processing of this data by Microsoft by clicking on the following link: http://choice.microsoft.com/de-DE/opt-out. You can find further information about data protection and the cookies applied by Microsoft and Bing Ads on the Microsoft website at https://privacy.microsoft.com/de-de/privacystatement

Yahoo Analytics

Yahoo Web Analytics uses web beacons and cookies to collect data about visitors to these websites. This data is sent to Yahoo from your web browser as part of your interaction with this website. This data usually includes the time that websites were visited, the links that were clicked on or the advertising that was viewed on these pages. This data is recorded by Yahoo Web Analytics to allow Yahoo to gather statistical information. The cookies used by Yahoo Web Analytics do not contain any personal information such as name, age or telephone number. We record this information on behalf of our customers. Our customers may provide us with personal information such as e-mail addresses that are to be recorded in the statistics report. We pass on this report and personal data of this kind about our users exclusively to the customer on behalf of whom we recorded this data. Our customers are contractually obliged to publish information about data collection and sharing by Yahoo on their websites. In addition we can use the browser data recorded through Yahoo Web Analytics to improve our products and services and display advertising for goods and services that are of interest to our users. Most browsers accept cookies in accordance with their default settings. You can change the settings of your browser to reject all cookies or only third-party provider cookies. If you do not accept any cookies, you may be unable to log into websites or use functions that require cookies. If you do not want Yahoo to record and process data about your activities as described above on this website, you can deactivate this here. This setting affects both the use of information on behalf of us as well as the use by Yahoo for the purposes already outlined. You can find information about how Yahoo handles your personal data in our Data Policy declaration

Trusted Shops

If you have given us your explicit consent during or after your order by activating a checkbox or by clicking on the "Rate later" button, we will send your e-mail address to issue a reminder to submit a review for your order to Trusted Shops GmbH, Subbelrather Str. 15c, 50823 Cologne (www.trustedshops.de), so that they remind you by e-mail of the possibility to submit a rating. This consent can be withdrawn at any time by informing us or Trusted Shops directly.

Customer account

For every customer who has registered, we set up password-protected direct access to their inventory data (customer account) stored with us. Here you can view data about your completed, outstanding and recently dispatched orders and manage your address, your bank details and newsletter. You undertake to handle the personal access data confidentially and not grant access to any unauthorised third parties. We cannot accept any liability for misused passwords unless we were responsible for this misuse. With the “remain signed in” function, we want your visit to our websites to be as pleasant as possible. This function allows you to use our services without having to log in again each time. For security reasons, you will however be asked to enter your password again if, for example, your personal data needs to be changed or you would like to place an order. We advise that you do not use this function if your computer is being used by several users. Please note that the “remain signed in” function is not available if you are using a setting that automatically deletes stored cookies after every session.

To send out the newsletter, we use the so-called double opt-in process, meaning that we will send you a newsletter by e-mail only once you have explicitly confirmed in advance that we should activate the newsletter service. We will then send you a notification e-mail and ask you to confirm that you would like to receive our newsletter by clicking on one of the links contained in this e-mail. When you sign up to our newsletter, we store your IP address and the registration date. This purely serves as an indication in the event that a third party is misusing your e-mail address to sign you up to receive the newsletter without your knowledge or permission. If you no longer wish to receive a newsletter from us in the future, you can withdraw at any time without incurring more than the transmission costs at the basic price.
